6-8-21 THOUGHTS

Let’s think this morning together about  PRAISING OUR GOD!  The latter part of verse one of Psalms 33 says simply  “Praise is becoming to the upright.”

Deut 10:20-21   "You shall fear the LORD your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him, and you shall swear by His name. 21  "He is your praise and He is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen.
1Chron 16:35   Then say, "Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise."
Ps 21:13   Be exalted, O LORD, in Your strength; We will sing and praise Your power.
Ps 43:5   Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.
Ps 71:8  My mouth is filled with Your praise And with Your glory all day long.
Ps 99:3  Let them praise Your great and awesome name; Holy is He.
Ps 106:1  Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Ps 139:14  I will give thanks to You [ESV & NIV have praise], for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
Ps 145:10   All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD, And Your godly ones shall bless You.
Read all of Psalms 148.
Heb 13:15 Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.
1Pet 4:11    Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory [praise KJV] and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Rev 19:5     And a voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great."

My Prayer:
We praise and honor you O God with all of our hearts.  Give us greater capacity to know your nature and being so that we can exalt you more wonderfully.  May we abide in your presence and lift up your great name continually.  You are the One above all, and we praise you, the only true and living God.  Be with us in our day.    In Jesus name      Amen
